Robert Duff- A co- founder of Landmark Industries, doing business as Timewise Food Stores until it’s sale in 2022-2023. Robert is a graduate of Lanier Jr. High and Lamar Sr. High (1964) in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He Served in the Texas Army and later Air National Guard 1967-1973. He Joined the executive training program at the Texas Commerce Bank of Houston in 1969. He served as a Personal Trust officer from 1971-1973. He joined Houston Citizens Bank Trust Dept. in 1974 and progressed to Asst. Vice President and Trust Officer. Most trust work was done in Personal Trust Administration, but did enjoy the challenges of doing real estate escrows for a number of Houston real estate developers. Hired by Houston Distributing Company (a Miller Beer Distributor) in 1979.

He moved to Horlock Beverage Company (also a Miller Beer Distributor) 1981- 1982. Co-founder of Landmark Industries, dba Timewise Food Stores in late 1982. The four founding partners were together for the entire period of accumulating and operating the stores and the company grew over the next forty years to a total of approximately 270 operating convenience stores. Primary responsibilities over the years included banking, taxes, insurance/risk management, and licenses/ permits.

Timewise stores were primarily in the greater Houston and surrounding county areas, but also included stores in San Antonio, Laredo, and as far west as Junction, Texas. In 2022 ,the company sold its Shell branded stores to Texas Petroleum Group (Shell) and in 2023, its remaining Exxon branded store were sold to the Exxon Corporation. Landmark then ceased to be an operating convenience store chain and now exists as a real estate holding and development company. Bob continues to be active in a management role for Bastrop, Texas real estate interests. He and his wife, Joan have been married for 10 years. They are involved with the Houston Symphony and support a number of military and law enforcement organizations including the Utah Beach Museum in Normandy and several law enforcement organizations in Comal county.
